Abuse; a Human Rights & Pro-Life issue

The first Grief to Grace in the UK is set to take place at the end of this month, (October), so it is beginning to slowly spread.  Now it is in the USA, Canada and the UK.  There was also a Grief to Grace retreat in Jamaica last summer.

Abuse is not the monopoly of the Catholic Church, although they handled clergy sexual abuse badly, but the Catholic Church, if it can get out of its own way, should be a leader in helping to stop it and a leader in the healing of the abused.  It is a Human Rights issue.  It is a Pro-Life issue.  And we do not have centuries to confront it so everybody needs too buck up and help out.

About follow1in3

I am a Roman Catholic priest ordained for the Diocese of Wilmington, DE who is also a victim of clergy sexual abuse. I am often angered by the insensitiviy and hostility of other clergy, the hierarchy and the so-called people-of-God. If clergy, bishops included, really and truly understood abuse, (any kind of abuse), I would not feel the need to blog on occasion. It is very frustraing.
