Priests who abused have contributed to this climate of distrust in the Roman Catholic Church.

Church Officials who tried to silence victims of abuse have contributed to the climate of distrust in the Roman Catholic Church.

Church Officials who did nothing positive for victims  have contributed to the climate of distrust in the Roman Catholic Church.

Church Officials who blamed everyone but themselves for eight years  have contributed to the climate of distrust in the Roman Catholic Church.

Since it has been  errant priests and Church Officials who made this clergy sex scandal the sad mess that it is and  has contributed to the climate of distrust in the Roman Catholic Church they are the ones, (the Church Officials that is), who need to; 1. Take responsibility and not just give us lip  service. & 2. Work to help in the healing of victims.  Doing this they will finally be contributing to a climate of trust that should be in the Roman Catholic Church.

 Since this is a scandal that has been caused by the Officials of the Church it needs to be the ONLY focus of Church charitable work.

The Church did not cause hunger.  The Church did not cause poverty.  The Church did not create abortion and other sins against LIFE.  But the Church DID CAUSE the scandal of clergy sexual abuse so the Church needs to make it the #1 priority in her works of mercy and charity.
